About Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas
The Government of India had started a Sumiti for the welfare of the poor students in the country. The Sumiti is called as the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. It is a school system which is running under the control of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. These schools are affiliated to CBSE Board. It is managed & controlled by an autonomous body named as Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).
NVS is aimed to grant admissions to talented candidate coming from the rural areas of the country. Admissions in class VI and IX are made on the basis of entrance test known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The test is conducted every year and lakhs of candidates fill the application and appear for it. Candidates have to secure marks above than the set cut-off marks to qualify the test.
JNVST Cut off Marks 2019
Cut off marks are the minimum required marks that a candidate is required to acquire in a particular exam. Those candidates whose scoring marks are above the cut off marks indicate that they have qualified the exam and vice-versa.
The criteria of the cut off marks are set by the exam conducting authority for each & every exam and hence the every competitive exam has various cut off marks. The cut off marks mostly depends upon the number of appearing students in the exam, number of seats or vacancies available, level of difficulty of the exam & marking scheme as well.
